In 1862, long before the birth of Tora-san in the movie "Otoko wa Tsuraiyo," when Tokyo was still called Edo, the Ishii kimono store was established on the approach to Taishakuten. The tea sweets and pickles that we served to our regular customers became popular, and after the war, we began operating under the name "Ishii" as a tea store for the good men and women who gathered at Taishakuten. After the war, we started business as a tea shop for good men and women who gather in Taishakuten. The oldest wooden store on the approach to Taishakuten is a 200-year-old building that has been protected and passed down from generation to generation.
