In Shibamata, Katsushika, which retains the atmosphere of downtown Tokyo and is famous as the hometown of Tora-san in the movie “Otoko wa tsuraiyo,” kawachiya has been known as the place to go for eel, carp, and river fish for 250 years. We have maintained the same taste since our establishment. kawachiya started in the 1770s. As the number of visitors to the temple increased, farmers and couples started to open tea stores on the side in Shibamata, which was inconvenient because there were no tea stores. Kawasenke was one of them. Thanks to their efforts, we are now in our 10th generation.
